A neglected Call

She was lying on her bed looking at a spot in the roof when she first got the message…. When she looked at her cell phone she realized that it was from an unfamiliar number and contained one word only; ‘’Hello!’’ .. She neglected it thinking it was sent to the wrong number .
In the next morning she received the same message from the same number and this continued for several days and every time she got the message she deleted it before reading the content.
One day she felt as if something forced her to open the message that day and read it, but when she did, it was not a greeting, but reproach and warning; “stop neglecting that!”. The thing made her angry was receiving the message more than once a day. She could not forget those three words …They were like a bell ringing in her mind...and once while she was busy with her phone, a new message announced arriving and it contained something made her sure that it was for her not anyone else….it contained her name ..Yes it was directed to her: “stop neglecting that, Sameera… stop it!” At first she smiled and thought it might be a joke from a friend of hers, but it was not as she simply thought because all those she knew admitted that they sent no message like that, so she decided to inquire about the number the next morning ….
While she was lying on her bed thinking of the number and whose it would be, her phone rang…she quickly had a look at her phone … it was the same number she got messages from… the same number that talked to her with her name ….
“ Should I answer? It’s after midnight” she thought… the call stopped while she was talking to herself and she heard it no more after that time…
The next morning Sameera was shocked when she was told that the number was not available!!!
“How is that? It bothered me many times?” she wondered.

Yes! How can unavailable number call her?!! How can it happen?!!
In fact it was not a person, it was her conscience. This happens to many of us… we hear voices that we do not know and may neglect them … they may keep calling again and again to warn us … some of us are lucky to answer while others fail and lose ….

It never dies

They have been close friends for along time. They could not stay away from each other. It happened once that Hope felt afraid that she would have to say "Bye" to Support, but Support assured her that he would never ever leave her, and that made her feel better. Since then, Support has done his best to make Hope happy.

Poor Support! He did not know what was waiting for them. He was shocked when Hope told him that her family did not like their relationship and that they had to forget each other and start a new life. How could it happen?! Poor couple! They lived together drawing wonderful dreams and coloring the rainbow of their own life.

 Hope was as sad as Support, but she decided to give herself a chance to take an adventure when they had no choice. Thus, she did her best to forget Support and started her new life with Option. At first, she thought it would be hard for her to live with another one, but days showed her the opposite. Every thing was prepared well for her, every thing went easily, and every day was perfect for her. She hardly remembered Support during her new life.

One day, a thought came to her mind “what is he doing now? Is he doing well like me and without me? Could he forget me?.." She did so every time she felt lonely. Nothing came to her mind in such moments but his memories...nothing made her better but remembering his voice...nothing made her smile but remembering the happy time they spent together. Days passed and Hope managed it well. She was happy that life was not as hard as she thought and that Support was only a dream from the past. The matter was not like that, however.

 One day, while Hope was walking she met Support. Their eyes met again with silence. A warm smile appeared on Support's face and, in return, Hope gave a sweet smile as if each wanted to say "long time no see. I miss you, dear". No words...no voices ...nothing, but looks. They made their eyes talk. Before Hope leaves, Support said “I will never ever leave you". Her eyes shined with tears but she left then.

 Later on that day, Hope was thinking about his words. "All what he has to do is just to start a new life" she said to herself. “It will be fine like it is with me now“. She continued. That was her thinking but she got shocked when she knew that it was Support who did his best to keep his promise. He could not forget her. He was watching her and making sure that she was happy. When she knew that she went to him and said “Why, Support? Why? ". With his charming smile, Support said " I will never ever leave you, dear".

This is the story of Hope and Support..They have lived to prove that true love never dies, and true feelings ever last.

Chapter 2

The baby-sitter

Princess Cathy

It was cloudy  and rained about an hour after Richard had gone to the town. The king was walking to and fro along the room putting both hands on his back.  When he heard something , he looked out the window and saw the cart of Richard. A woman got off the cart holding an umbrella above her head.

A few minutes later, the door was knocked and soon king John sat on his chair.

'' Yes, come in.'' the king said.

Richard came in '' The sitter , sir'' he said.

A woman about thirty appeared into the room. She was quite tall, good-looking, and seemed a kind person.

'' My lord. '' she saluted him with a bow.

'' Please, sit down.'' the king said and went on telling her about the job .'' It is certainly that you know why you are here and also I think you  know what my conditions are. Can you tell me about yourself and the qualities that make you suitable for the job, please.''

'' My name is Agatha Watson. I am thirty years old. I lived with my husband, but he dies in  an accident. After that , I have lived with my brother’s family for twenty days. I promise to do my best to look after princess as she is my daughter…''.

 The king did not like the last sentence so he interrupted her asking: '' Can you tell me about your qualities the make you suitable for the job ,please? ''

'' Faithfulness and honesty, sir.'' briefly and wisely  she replied.

The king looked questionably but said no word. Agatha continued:

'' I have no experience ,but……..''

'' So… how can you explain that you can deal with this task well? '' the king interrupted her.

''Diligence is the first step towards success.'' wisely she replied.

Thought he did not feel much comfortable , King John liked  the way Agatha answered his questions . Soon after the interview, Agatha was taken to her room just  next to princess' one. A few minutes later , Richard told her that the king wanted to see her again.

In the big sitting room:

'' My lord.'' She bowed greeting the king as she got into the room .

'' Please, sit down.'' he said.'' You don't need to call me ' Lord ' call me sir, please.''

'' Thank you ,sir. '' Agatha replied.

By that moment , Richard came in carrying little Cathy between his arms. He walked towards Agatha  giving her princess. When Agatha carried her , warm tears fell down her cheeks.

'' This is princess Cathrine. I know you will look after her well.'' the king said .

'' Thank you very much , sir. You will never be sorry for this.'' She replied .

 Agatha got the job and days showed how lovely and friendly she was. The king liked her very much and was pleased and so comfortable to get such sitter for his only daughter. Princess ,from the other side grew up happily with Agatha. Thus, Agatha became a member of the royal family with days.

The birth of princess

Chapter 1

The birth of princess

'' Yes. She is the image of you.'' 
the king said smiling to his wife .

     Once upon a time, a popular and wise king lived happily with his beautiful wife, waiting their first child. King John, was kind, helpful and just in every case, whether it was a big or a small one. He loved his beautiful young wife, Queen Victoria and reached their happiness when they knew that the queen was pregnant for the first time.

     After the birth of the child Cathrine, the princess, all were full of happiness for the coming of her.

 '' Thank you,… thank you very much '' the king said with a happy wide smile                      and strong hand shake for every one came to congratulate him.   

     On the next day, the queen told the king that she did not feel well. She asked him to look after princess well and to do his best to make her not to feel the absence of or be in need to her mother. The king took her words as a joke.

'' Do you mean that I should marry another woman? Why don't you give another joke? '' The king said laughing.

'' I'm serious , dear.'' The queen said holding her husband's hand.

The king looked at her eyes and knew that she was speaking in earnest.

'' Don't feel such hopeless, dear. You only feel thus because of giving the birth. You'll soon feel better. Just give your self time.'' he said.

'' Promise me to give Cathy a lovely and kind mother, please.'' She said looking at princess.

'' What are you saying?'' the king shouted.'' Are you asking me to give another woman your place .Please stop saying such foolish words.''

At the night of that day, the king couldn't sleep. He spent the night thinking of the queen's speech and how difficult life would be if her words became true.

'' No…no, that can't be true.'' he said to himself. He rose, carried princess, and sat on a chair.

'' Oh, dear little Cathy .Do you know that your mother wants to leave us? How difficult life it will be, but whatever happened I'll give you a safe and comfortable life.'' He said in low voice thinking that queen was sleeping, but she could hear him and made sure that she could leave comfortable.

In the next morning, while the king was sitting near his wife with their baby:

'' Look! What a beautiful baby she is.' the queen said.

'' Yes. She is the image of you.'' the king said smiling to his wife.

The king then went out the room to his work and help people who were in problems and in need of help. He ignored what happened at  last night in the palace and behaved as usual along the day.

On the next day, a great sadness fell upon the kingdom for the death of the queen. The king, at first, decided to look after his daughter himself, but days showed him that man can not serve two masters. He found it difficult to look after princess as well as the kingdom a affairs at the same time without help. The concept of re-marry did not take a place in his mind. Instead, he decided to get her a baby-sitter. He sent to call Richard, one of his honest men. He was tall, heavy and very good man who did his work honestly. He was the only man who could call the king '' sir'' not ''lord''.

'' Yes. sir.'' Richard said as he came in the big sitting room. He was wearing a long back-tailed jacket.

'' Richard! Please, listen to me carefully. I'm going to tell you this, just you and not any one else because I consider you as the most honest and friendliest in the palace. I know that you will achieve this task well.'' The king said

''Thank you very much, sir.'' Richard said.

'' Please, sit down and listen to me.''

Richard took a seat and the king continued:

'' I want you to look for a good baby- sitter for Cathy. Find her kind, friendly, and fond of babies. Please, do this as soon as possible.'' 

'' At your service, sir.''

Two days later, Richard told the king that he found the needed woman.

'' Thank you for your honesty, Richard.'' The king thanked him. '' And are you sure that she has the characteristics I told you? Has she any experience?'' the king asked him.

'' Yes, sir. I have found one. But to be truthful with you, she has no previous experience…..''

The king interrupted him:

'' I did not like the last words, but I trust you.''

'' Thank you, sir. I am sure that you will admire her. I prefer to talk to her yourself, sir.''

'' Ok. Bring her to the palace, please.'' The king asked him.

'' Soon, sir.''

Richard went to the town to bring the sitter.
